What if you’re not ready to outsource?

Last week, we discussed how to prepare for outsourcing your web design or social media, and if either of those are an issue in your business I encourage you to address that!?

But if find yourself not quite ready, perhaps due to budget constraints or hesitancy to relinquish control, there are other options to consider, keeping you in the driver’s seat and on-budget as you propel your business forward.

Today, let’s delve into social media. Your options are clear: either take it on yourself or seek some support.

Option 1: Doing it Yourself

Stick to the status quo, but infuse intention and strategy into your efforts.

  1. Set a timer: Dedicate manageable, specific time slots for managing your social media. Whether it’s an hour a week or two 45-minute sessions, schedule it consistently.
  2. Generate content ideas: Set your timer for 10 minutes. Jot down thoughts on what you want your audience to know. Here is a blog I wrote with the 3 types of content every business needs.
  3. Create easy content: B-roll reels or carousels with photos work well. Once it’s done, prepare your next piece until your time is nearly up.
  4. Schedule and repeat: With your last 10 minutes, use your calendar, a scheduler, or Meta Business Suite to plan your posts for the week.

With practice, you’ll become more efficient. So even if you can only create one thing during your first few weeks, just keep doing it. Eventually you’ll create 2, 3, or even 4 pieces within that same timeframe.

When you feel ready for just a bit of direction, priorities, and support, book a Strategic Profile Review and walk away with a strategic plan for your next few months.

Option 2: Get Some Support

While doing social media all by yourself has its merits, consider the transformative impact of getting the right support, even on a budget. This choice often proves to be the difference between swimming and sinking in the bustling world of small businesses.

Picture having a dedicated ally in your corner—someone to provide unwavering support and ensure accountability. The outcomes can be nothing short of remarkable. I have witnessed clients transition from overwhelmed to declaring, “this is EASY!” as a result of such support. It serves as a compass through the myriad messages dictating what you “should” or “shouldn’t” do, enabling you to maintain a laser focus on achieving maximum results with minimum stress.
